As global change accelerates, leaders across sectors are being asked to navigate a world where technological innovation, security, and economic resilience are increasingly interconnected. In this environment, deeper collaboration between trusted international partners is no longer optional, it is a leadership imperative.
This was the focus of the Finnish American Chamber of Commerce, New York Strategic Forum 2025, where leaders from Finland and the United States gathered to explore how emerging technologies and shifting geopolitical realities are shaping the future. The conversations reflected a shared understanding: the pace of change now requires leadership grounded in clarity, trust, and long-term thinking.
Leaders of the Future is honored that our Founder, Tarja Stephens, participated in this high-level gathering. Her presence reflects our mission to strengthen the Nordic-U.S. leadership bridge at a moment when Finland’s technological strengths and strategic position are increasingly relevant to global security and innovation agendas.
Throughout the sessions, the discussions emphasized the urgency of building resilient digital systems and advancing human-centered innovation as artificial intelligence continues to influence both geopolitics and the global economy. These themes underscored something Finland has long understood, that technology and security must be developed in alignment with values, transparency, and the public good.
Finland’s leadership in digital infrastructure, quantum technologies, cybersecurity, and dual-use innovation was evident across the Forum. With its NATO membership and strategic Arctic vantage point, Finland is becoming an important partner for the United States as both countries navigate a decade defined by complexity and rapid technological transformation.
The dialogue also highlighted a promising opportunity: deeper transatlantic cooperation.
We extend our gratitude to the Finnish American Chamber of Commerce, New York for convening such an important and timely dialogue. As Finland and the United States deepen their partnership, we remain committed to supporting the collaborations and leadership models that will shape the next chapter of innovation, security, and global cooperation.
